Biography:
I finished my PhD at the University of Tuebingen working on the computational analysis of metagenomic sequencing data.
Before that, however, I took a trip into industry, joining the bioinformatics startup Computomics for a year.
After finishing my PhD, I worked at the Wellcome Sanger Institute as a Postdoc.
Finally, in August 2021, I joined the MRC Toxicology Unit as a bioinformatician in our bioinformatics core facility.
Research interests:
I am especially interested in anything that can be done with genomic or transcriptomic sequencing. I am still in awe how such a simple code can have such great importance to all life on earth.
