Biography:

I began my studies at the University of Exeter, from there I completed my Masters in Biochemistry, here my primary research project was based on diagnostics for a fungal lung infection, aspergillosis. Following this I moved to the University of Cambridge and joined the lab of Dr Ritwick Sawarkar for my PhD.

Research Interests:

My current research is based on understanding how environmental stress effects RNA and protein production in human cells. Production of RNA and proteins is halted during stress and in several diseases. My research is focused on determining weather there is any connection between these processes and if so, how we can manipulate these pathways for therapeutic use.
