'AlphaFold DB: Providing high-accuracy protein structure models for an unprecedented fraction of the sequence space'

Mihaly Varadi is the project leader of AlphaFold DB and the Protein Data Bank in Europe - Knowledge Base (PDBe-KB) in the Velankar group at EMBL-EBI.  He specialises in data and project management of large-scale data integration efforts. Mihaly did his PhD at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel, focusing on intrinsically disordered proteins. He joined EMBL-EBI in 2015 as a scientific programmer and has led data enrichment and integration projects since 2019.
