Our 'Tyre pollution' temporary tattoo was designed for the Fibre Toxicity group as part of the Tattoo my Science project.
Tyre pollutionWe all know that cars cause a lot of pollution. That is one of the reasons why we are pushing for the switch to electric cars! But even though they will have different engines, every time we drive our cars (petrol or electric) they release tiny particles of brake and tyre dust into the air we breathe. We study how tiny pieces of tyres that we can breathe in can cause damage to our lungs. Design by David O'Loughlin, Emily Self and Tiago Marques Pedro |
Fibre Toxicity programmeThis cross-Unit programme closed in 2024. However, you can explore more of the research below. |
