Dose makes the poisonThe dose makes the poison' is a phrase that describes the basics of what toxicology is. People often think of poisons and dangerous chemicals when they think of toxicology, but actually anything could have a harmful effect on our bodies if we have too much or too little of it. Even water or oxygen! Our researchers study a range of different toxins and how they may cause disease so that we can find new ways to make our medicines better and environment safer.
