Patrick joined the MRC Toxicology Unit in November 2024 as Safety and Compliance Manager, bringing a wealth of experience in research facility management. He holds a PhD in Human Stem Cell Bioengineering from The University of Hong Kong and has demonstrated exceptional leadership in managing complex research operations.

Before joining the Unit, Patrick served as Laboratory and Centre Manager at Karolinska Institute’s Ming Wai Lau Centre for Reparative Medicine in Hong Kong. During his tenure, he established and managed a state-of-the-art research facility, implemented safety protocols, and oversaw day-to-day operations, including laboratory safety, procurement, IT, and team supervision.

At the MRC Toxicology Unit, Patrick continues to leverage his expertise by managing all safety-related aspects, fostering a secure and compliant environment for cutting-edge research.
