On Friday 2nd June, a group of 25 PhD students from Wageningen University & Research (WUR), The Netherlands, visited the Unit as part of their tour of UK toxicology research facilities and to identify potential future collaborations.

We were treated to a day of exciting flash presentations from PhD students from both WUR as well as the Toxicology Unit, as well as keynote presentations from Dr Nynke Kramer, Associate Professor of Toxicology at WUR and Prof Kiran Patil from the Toxicology Unit. It was great to hear about how the mechanistic research at the MRC Tox Unit can translate into the applied toxicology research at WUR. The day concluded with a walking tour through historic Cambridge, drinks by the riverside and bowling. We are looking forward to potential collaborations in the near future!

Huge thank you to PhD students Rebecca Boston and David O'Loughlin for organising a successful event.
