Two of our scientists, Liza Selly and Joaquin Zacarias Cabeza, recently took part in the MRC Festival Zone ‘I'm a Scientist get me out of here' event talking to school students from across the UK.  Researchers put up a profile on the site, answer students’ questions about medical science, their research, their opinions and interests, etc. and engage directly with students in live text-based chats. Liza won overall and has been awarded a £500 prize to fund an outreach project of her choice.
