Professor Kiran Patil, MRC Investigator at the MRC Toxicology Unit has been given the Clarivate Web of Science Highly Cited Award for 2025.

The highly cited program celebrates individuals who have demonstrated a significant influence on their field of research and the wider scientific community. The researchers selected are those who rank in the top 1% of citations for their field and publication year over the past 11 years. The final list of researchers for each year is refined based on quantitative metrics, qualitative analysis and expert judgement. This years awardees are in the top 0.1% of the world's scientists and social scientists.

Professor Patil receives the award for the second year in a row. Kiran chose this opportunity to thank the people around him saying "All credit to the amazing team members - past and present - and collaborative colleagues!"
