Title: Sequence optimising mRNA therapeutics

We at the MRC Toxicology Unit are honoured to host Professor James Thaventhiran (University of Cambridge) to present his Lister Institute Prize Seminar, following his receipt of the 2025 Lister Institute of Preventive Medicine Prize Fellowship.

We invite you to join us on Tuesday 7th July at 17:30 in the Gleeson Building Seminar Room at the MRC Toxicology Unit, Cambridge, for Professor Thaventhiran’s seminar entitled “Sequence optimising mRNA therapeutics”. Following the lecture, Professor Sir John Iredale, Chairman of the Lister Institute of Preventive Medicine, will offer a brief overview of the Institute and formally present the prize to Professor Thaventhiran.

James has been granted one of just eight 2025 Lister Institute of Preventative Medicine Prize fellowships for his cutting-edge work. As part of the prize, The Lister Institute has awarded £300,000 to his group to further his research.
