Biography:
I am currently a MPhil student in Dr Ritwick Sawarkar research group. I previously graduated from King's College London in 2022 with a BSc in Biomedical Science (first-class honours). I did my final year dissertation at Dr Rocio Sancho Lab where we focused on validating and characterising the function of two cytoskeleton proteins on the regulation of Ngn3, a crucial transcription factor for endocrine differentiation of beta cells.
Research interests:
Changes in the environment can highly affect cell transcription. The project I am currently working on is based on understanding the molecular mechanisms that regulate transcription during stress. We are focused on identifying potential regulatory elements that take part in this process.
