Biography:

After studying Biological Science at the University of Milan, I worked as research assistant for a pharmaceutical company. I left Italy for Scotland to work at the University of Dundee Wellcome Trust Biocentre. Few years later, I joined the Biochemistry Department at the University of Leicester.

After a career break due to family reasons, I worked at Addenbrookes Hospital in Cambridge as clinical support staff initially and then in the Pathology department.
