Biography:

I joined the MRC Toxicology Unit in January 2018 after working in Histology Laboratory for 16 years.  Whilst I had much experience working in a Contract Research Organisation (CRO), I had no experience working within research. The last three years have been involved with some fantastic projects and met some established researchers and some starting out in new careers.

Research Interests:

I enjoy working in the Histopathology Core facility and providing a diverse service for researchers. This could be through trimming tissues for FFPE, cryosectioning, special staining, IHC, in situ assays or making tissue microarrays. I like researchers coming to me with ideas and providing practical solutions, which solve the questions they have. This may involve trying out new techniques and technologies as Histopathology and Digital Pathology is an ever-developing field.  I am currently expanding my knowledge of mIHC and digital Image analysis.
